Father God in Heaven, Source of all life and love,
In this time of great upheaval, we turn to You with open hearts. As earthquakes shake the ground beneath us, as fires consume what we have built, as volcanoes erupt with ancient power, and as confusion and chaos seem to reign— We seek Your shelter and Your wisdom.
Grant protection to those in harm's way. May they find safe harbor amidst the storms of life and may helping hands reach them in their hour of need. Restore our faith when doubt creeps in. Help us remember that even in darkness, your light continues to shine, guiding us forward one step at a time.
Pour Your love into the broken places of our world. Where there is hatred, let us sow love; Where there is injury, pardon; Where there is doubt, faith; Where there is despair, hope. (Saint Francis of Azizi
Nurture hope in our weary souls. May we see beyond present troubles to the possibility of healing and renewal that waits on the other side of suffering.
Give us strength to trust in Your divine plan, even when we cannot understand it. Help us surrender our need for control and rest in the knowledge that You hold all things. Unite us in compassion for one another, Remembering that we share this fragile earth, and that in helping others, we find our truest selves.
May Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, Guard our hearts and minds, Today and all days. In the Mighty name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
